Bookmarks!

Last week, both kindergarten classes made bookmarks during their visits to the library. We talked about the different ways we can take care of books so that they will last a long time and many students will be able to enjoy them in the library. Here are some of the ideas we discussed: 


1)      Use a bookmark instead of folding over pages
2)      Keep books in a safe place out of reach of young siblings        and pets
3)      Do not drink or eat while reading books
4)      Keep your library books in the same spot if you bring them
     home so you will know where to find them when it is time
     to return them
5)     Turn pages slowly and carefully
 
    Some of the bookmarks have already been sent home with students so they can use them while reading books at home with their family members. The rest of the bookmarks will be sent home tomorrow or next week.
